Patrick has dedicated over a decade to the wind energy sector, with extensive experience in both onshore and offshore projects across Europe. Currently, he is developing the Halla Offshore Wind Farm in Finland along with the origination of Power Purchase Agreements for OX2’s renewable portfolio. Patrick’s earlier experience at Prysmian PowerLink involved managing tenders for offshore wind projects across Europe, providing him with a comprehensive understanding of the offshore wind supply chain in Europe.
To gain a broader perspective beyond the wind power sector, Patrick has been actively involved in the World Energy Council community since 2020 as part of the Future Energy Leader program (FEL-100) and currently serves as Vice Chair of the board of WEC Finland.
Veera works as the Advocacy Manager for the Renewables Finland. Her primary focus is on advocacy issues of offshore wind power and grid connections.
Veera is a passionate advocate for green transition and renewable energies. She is dedicated to bringing positive change in the energy industry through lobbying, policy engagement, and strategic cooperation. Her goal is to connect and collaborate towards a greener, more sustainable future.
Michel Rademaker, as the deputy executive Director and co-founder of HCSS, brings extensive expertise from his fifteen-year tenure in The Royal Netherlands Army, including diverse operational and staff roles and service in former Yugoslavia. Holding a master’s degree from the University of Tilburg, TIAS Nimbas, he later spent a decade at TNO as a program manager and senior policy advisor, contributing notably as NATO RTO project leader, spearheading serious gaming assessment methodologies for disruptive technologies.
In his role at HCSS, Rademaker spearheads product and project development, specializing in (inter)national multi-stakeholder initiatives addressing emerging strategic security and geo-economic issues such as cyber threats and resource scarcity. His proficiencies span security strategy, policy formulation, technology assessments, and the geopolitical ramifications of climate change, resource scarcity, and energy supply. Notably, he has overseen the integration of big data analytics into projects, creating interactive monitoring tools, and has co-organized Cyber Security Schools with partners like NATO and Europol, India and South-Africa.
A key figure in security collaboration, Rademaker played a pivotal role in establishing The Hague Security Delta (HSD) and supported the formation of the Hyderabad Security Cluster (HSC) in India. He serves on the board of the Institute for Accountability in the Digital Age (I4ADA) and the Executive Committee of the International Military Council on Climate and Security (IMCCS). He is a board member of The Hague Chapter of the CyberPeace Institute (CPI) in Geneva.
Beyond his organizational contributions, Rademaker is a prolific author, having penned book chapters, research reports, and articles. He is also sought after as a workshop moderator, trainer, guest lecturer at universities, conference speaker, and media commentator.
Max is the Head of Market Development for offshore wind at Vattenfall. In this role, Max is responsible for identifying new project opportunities, delivering bids on offshore wind tenders, and formulating policy proposal to enhance the offshore wind framework. Thru this role, Max has been personally involved with the acquisition and start-up of the Korsnäs project and still holds a board position to the project. Max has been with Vattenfall offshore wind for more than 7 years.
Prior to stepping into offshore wind, Max was a consultant in the maritime industry, focusing on the creation of public-private partnerships to deliver large port infrastructure projects.
Anders Wiklund is the Regional Manager for OX2 on the Åland Islands, in which they are together with Ålandsbanken developing two offshore wind projects of 5 GW each. One has got defence force approval, the other not.
Nina is a generalist in the field of sustainability and circularity with passion for details, smart processes and innovation. She is a true believer in sustainable future, which can be achieved through collaboration and system change. She enjoys building bridges between industry, academia and policy makers. She has worked in EU projects, coordinated award winning stakeholder process for improved circularity in offshore wind and actively supports industry and governments in shaping their circular strategies.
Dr. Marco D’Ignazio is a Geotechnical Specialist at Ramboll Finland Oy and a part-time Lecturer at Tampere University. He specializes in foundation design and numerical modeling for offshore wind, with experience spanning from early project phases to detailed design. He has worked on offshore wind projects worldwide, including in the Baltic Sea, facing a wide range of geotechnical challenges in diverse seabed conditions.
